Retired university professor, environmental educator and published author Daniel N. Boone has more than a decade of experience in conservation projects and wind turbine design, development and analysis, He holds a patent on the unique Ekodyne turbine design and has implemented prototype turbines in production use for a mine water reclamation project in Pennsylvania. Boone served as project director, grant-writer and installation lead on the Evergreen Conservancy’s Renewable Energy Project at the Tanoma Wetlands AMD Environmental Education Center, Indiana, PA. He has conducted numerous presentations and guided tours of solar, wind, and hydro-generation units to student audiences ranging from K—12, college level, socially-challenged, and to the general public.
